Advanced IT Labs delivered a solution consultation and modernization project for B&H: the employee marketplace revamped from PHP to Node.js, and the intranet modernized with 65 workflows reconciled. Both intranet systems. Both high impact. Both shipped.
Situation
Legacy systems that the business cannot pause.
B&H ran its employee marketplace, an intranet portal staff rely on every shift, on aging PHP, alongside an intranet estate where years of accumulated workflows had multiplied, drifted, and quietly started disagreeing with each other. Both systems carried daily internal operations, which is exactly what makes modernization hard: the whole company works inside them while you rebuild.
The mission came in two parts, both high impact: re-platform the employee marketplace onto a modern stack, and bring order to an intranet of 65 workflows without stopping the people who depend on them every shift.
The landing

This was a services engagement, and it started the right way: solution consultation before code. We mapped the estate, sequenced the risk, and then executed. The employee marketplace moved from PHP to Node.js, a full revamp that modernized the stack, the performance profile, and the hiring pool it draws from. On the intranet side we audited, reconciled, and modernized all 65 workflows onto a common foundation, retiring duplicates and resolving the contradictions that years of patchwork had baked in.
